  • Kierra Willis, Fresno State - As her squad ran their win streak to twenty-one straight games with two wins over Nevada, Willis provided a serious power push. Hitting .625 on the weekend, the junior outfielder clobbered three home runs and drove in seven of her team's seventeen runs as the Bulldogs swept the doubleheader.
  • Maddie Houlihan, Minnesota - The Gopher freshman got hot at just the right time, adding another stellar conference performance to her resume. Hitting at a .769 clip against the final B1G foe of the year, Iowa, notched out four extra base hits, including three doubles and a home run. She tallied four RBI along the way.
  • Kendra Lynch, North Carolina - With their backs against the wall and needing a solid showing in the final conference series of the year, the Tar Heels turned to Lynch to guide them to the conference tournament, and guide them she did. Throwing every inning of the three-game set against Georgia Tech, Lynch allowed just four runs and only fifteen hits. She struck out just seven, but added four hits, including two home runs, and 4 RBI from the offensive side, contributing to her team’s 22-run onslaught against the Yellow Jackets.
  • Alex Stewart, Louisiana-Lafayette - Pitching all but three innings of her team's dominant three-game sweep over in-state rival Louisiana-Monroe, Stewart showed out. In seventeen innings of work, she allowed just four hits, no runs, and struck out eighteen, earning the win in each of the three games to improve her season's record to 25-4.

PERFORMANCES OF THE WEEK:
  • Shelby Friudenberg, Baylor - The Slugging Sophomore of Waco put together another power show in a three-game sweep of Texas Tech where the Bears offense showed out. For her part, Friudenberg hit .400 on the weekend with three home runs and nine RBI. Couple the weekend with a midweek performance that added another dinger and two RBI to her total and she collected a nice quartet of home runs, with eleven RBI in all to go with them.
  • Holiday Cahill, Towson - The Tigers' junior first baseman put on a power show all her own in her team's series-ender against Delaware on Sunday. In three trips to the plate, Cahill hit three home runs. Earning at-bats in the 3rd, 5th, and 6th innings, she took the Blue Hen pitchers deep each time, gathering a school-record seven RBIs along the way. She sits second all-time in the program's record books for home runs and both her three home runs and seven RBI are new Tiger single-game records.

PERFORMANCES OF THE WEEK
  • Ali Aguilar, Washington - The breakout Huskies star helped her team right the ship after an upset loss on Saturday to take the series on Sunday, and she did so in stylish fashion - Aguilar hit .400 on the day with a pair of home runs, giving her twenty roundtrippers on the season. She was responsible for four of her team's seven runs. She got back in her groove after a three-strikeout performance a day earlier.
  • Jailyn Ford, James Madison - The star dual-threat for Mickey Dean's Dukes let her bat do most of the talking for her this weekend, hitting .857 and only recording one out any time she stepped to the plate. She cranked a pair of home runs and earned three walks over the course of the weekend. She scored three runs and stole a trio of bases, to boot - and, just for good measure, turned in a five-hit, 10-strikeout performance in a six-inning appearance in the circle on Sunday.
  • Nicole Schroeder, Arkansas - One of the few bright spots for the cellar-dwelling Hogs this season, Schroeder looks like an all-conference player at the plate. She's currently riding a nine-game hitting streak and a thirteen-game on-base streak. Over the course of the latter, the California-native junior has hit .467. She parked a grand slam during Sunday's contest vs. Ole Miss, only her team's second grand slam of the season.
  • Kendra Lynch, North Carolina - In Game 1 of a doubleheader versus nationally-ranked #24 (RPI) Notre Dame, Lynch not only stifled the Irish offense, she contributed a good bit of offense of her own. In her first at-bat of the game, in the bottom of the first inning, Lynch cranked a three-run home run to give her team the early lead. She later added a fourth RBI and held the Fighting Irish offense to just as many runs, sending down the final ten batters of the game to seal the deal. The victory was Lynch's twenty-first of the season and she maintained her second-on-the-team status in both batting average and home runs.

PERFORMANCES OF THE WEEK
Tori Vidales; Erica Nunn; Celina Matthias; Claire McWilliams

  • Tori Vidales, Texas A&M - The Aggies' star sophomore had herself quite a day on Saturday, despite her team's defeat in game one of a doubleheader. The slugging second baseman added a trio of moonshots to her season's home run total, already a team-leading mark, and batted 1.000 during the game's twinbill, reaching base safely in every plate appearance, including three walks.
  • South Florida's Pitching Staff - In the midst of their current eight-game winning streak (and they've won 31/32 since the first week of March), the Bulls' staff has been absolutely stellar in the circle. Led by pitching coach Jessica Moore and staff ace Erica Nunn, USF extended their streak of scoreless innings to thirty-seven, the last run they gave up coming on April 8th. Nunn, Susan Wysocki, and Cheyenne Eggens combined for nineteen innings of shutout ball in the weekend series against Memphis, allowing only eight hits across the trio of games and collecting twenty-one strikeouts.
  • Celina Matthias, Sacramento State - The California sophomore put together her own shutout show on the opposite coast, throwing three in a span of twenty-six hours over the weekend and a fourth shutout the previous Tuesday. Matthias collected seventeen strikeouts, limiting her opponents to no more than four hits per game and issuing just two free bases on balls over the entire weekend.
  • Colleen McWilliams, Marist - Lots of Red Fox mentions in today's article, and for good reason: It's been a good week for the squad. Perhaps none had a better performance than outfielder McWilliams against Hartford on Wednesday. The senior stepped up to the plate three times, and each time parked a home run over the outfield wall. She was responsible for 1/2 of her team's runs, contributing a quintet of runs as part of her team's ten-spot on the scoreboard.
